The mission of Citizens for Accountability (CFA) is to hold our elected officials to the TRUTH, requiring that they be sincere in their actions, character, and words; to demand that our government be TRANSPARENT, free from pretense or deceit in all actions and dealings; and ultimately to hold all government officials, elected and appointed, ACCOUNTABLE for their actions.
In order to achieve its mission, CFA acts as a vehicle to inform, educate, and advise the citizens of Morristown and Hamblen County about government meetings and actions that affect both the livelihood and liberty of all citizens. CFA encourages all citizens to speak up and be involved. The local government is not just 7 or 14 people. The government IS the citizenry communicating with and acting through its representatives.

This morning I read the Citizen Tribune write up from the May 10 Budget Hearing of the County Commission.
